Human iPSC-derived GABAergic neurons ioGABAergic Neurons are human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived GABAergic neurons, also known as inhibitory interneurons, and are deterministically programmed using opti-ox technology. Within 4 days post-revival, ioGABAergic Neurons form a highly pure (>99%), defined population that is ready for experimentation, expressing classical marker genes including GAD1, GAD2, VGAT, DLX1 and DLX2. These inhibitory neurons display spontaneous activity as demonstrated by calcium imaging. ioGABAergic Neurons are also suitable for co-culture and tri-culture studies with ioGlutamatergic Neurons and Astrocytes to gain insights into complex intercellular interactions. ioGABAergic Neurons provide a highly pure, consistent, functional and easy to use human iPSC-based model for the study of neural circuits, and for neurological disease research and drug development.
